Assistance for Oklahoma policyowners affected by tornado
Company also makes $100,000 donation to help area recover
In the aftermath of the Oklahoma tornado, New York Life stands ready to help our policy owners affected by the tornado, as together we work to recover from this tragedy.
You can reach us by calling 1–800–695–4331. Your call will be routed to a Service Center Representative who can provide you with several types of assistance:
- If you are in immediate need of money, New York Life can quickly provide emergency funds through loans against the cash value of your current policies. Of course, any outstanding loan balance reduces your policy’s available cash surrender value and death benefit.
- If a temporary extension of your insurance premiums payments would help, we will gladly assist in arranging this.
- If your policies have been lost or destroyed, we will replace them.
- You may also access policy information and request a variety of service transactions by visiting our Virtual Service Center.
In addition, the company announced it is donating $100,000 to the relief efforts in Oklahoma, with a $50,000 donation to the American Red Cross and a $50,000 donation to one or more local nonprofit organizations to be determined in the months ahead.
“On behalf of the entire New York Life family, we extend our heartfelt sympathy to all those touched by the tornado that struck the suburbs of Oklahoma City,” said Ted Mathas, chairman and CEO. “Our thoughts are with the families, the rescue workers and the volunteers who, in the midst of catastrophic destruction, are working tirelessly to recover from this tragedy.”
