New York Life Donates $100,000 to Hurricane Irene Relief Effort
NEW YORK, September 13, 2011 – New York Life Insurance Company announced today it will donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross to aid Hurricane Irene relief efforts.
Ted Mathas, chairman and CEO of New York Life, said, “In the aftermath of the hurricane, New York Life is committed to helping the immediate needs of the communities in the coastal and New England areas that were affected. Our employees and agents have already begun to donate to the relief efforts, and accordingly, the company will make an immediate $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross to support hurricane relief efforts.”
