New York Life Donates $20,000 To Wildfire Relief Effort In Texas
NEW YORK, N.Y., September 21, 2011 - New York Life Insurance Company announced today it will donate $20,000 to the American Red Cross to aid wildfire relief efforts in central and east Texas. According to the Texas Forest Service, the wind from Tropical Storm Lee and the severe drought are being blamed for one of the most devastating wildfire outbreaks in state history.

"The destruction was widespread but also hit close to home impacting the New York Life family as well. We extend our thoughts and prayers to all those touched by this tragic event and accordingly, the company will be making a $20,000 donation to the American Red Cross to help those in need."
