New York Life Named to Chief Learning Officer Magazine’s LearningElite

NEW YORK, March 31, 2014—New York Life has been named a LearningElite organization for 2014 by Chief Learning Officer magazine. New York Life was recognized for creating and implementing exemplary workforce development practices that deliver measurable business value.

“For the second year in a row New York Life has been named to this prestigious list that recognizes the most advanced companies for learning, development and talent management,” said Michael Molinaro, vice president, chief learning officer, New York Life. “Combined with our ranking on Training Magazine’s Top 125 for the third year running, our reputation as a company that leads the way in the growth of its people is firmly in place.”

The only peer-reviewed ranking and benchmarking program developed in collaboration with chief learning officers and senior workforce development practitioners, the LearningElite has become the industry’s most valuable benchmarking tool. The program utilizes rigorous evaluation methodologies to objectively assess both the scope and value of participants’ learning and development practices and to rank the organizations based upon the execution and impact of these initiatives.

For the 2014 benchmarking, Chief Learning Officer received a record-breaking number of applications from “progressive, proactive, performance-oriented organizations around the world,” said Norm Kamikow, president and editor in chief of Human Capital Media Group, which publishes Chief Learning Officer magazine. ”The organizations that achieved LearningElite status stood out as true innovators in enterprise education. Chief Learning Officer is proud to acknowledge the impact and impressive accomplishments of New York Life and the other LearningElite organizations.”

New York Life ranked 57th from a record-breaking field of more than 200 companies participating in the prestigious annual benchmarking program.
