This was the second campaign in the 2010/2011 school year in which a scholarship was offered by New York Life. In November of last year, New York Life awarded a $10,000 scholarship to the University of Utah, the winner of the Utah Challenge, a competition between the University of Utah and Brigham Young University football teams to see which team finished the season with the most offensive yardage. The Utes won that challenge with 4,857 yards.
