NEW YORK, NY September 5, 2012 – In recognition of Life Insurance Awareness Month, New York Life awarded Terran Boydston Walker from Greater Kansas City, MS, a freshman at University of Missouri, a $2,000 LIFE Lesson Scholarship for her essay illustrating the need for life insurance. Ms. Walker’s essay documented her family’s struggle without life insurance coverage after her stepfather’s death in a car accident.
