Welcome Center: Take A Tour of the Site

Welcome to the New York Life site. If this is your first time here, take a look around and tell us what you think . It’s a large site, so come take a tour with us as we show you the major sections of the site. We’ve divided it into five sections—the left navigation bar, home page, product navigation bar, top utility bar, and the bottom navigation bar.

The Left Navigation Bar
Looking for more information on New York Life? Then the left navigation bar is the perfect place to start. If you want to speak to a New York Life representative near you, you’ll want to visit our Consult An Agent page, where you can arrange for a free, no obligation visit from an experienced professional agent. Interested in learning more about us as a company? Read the About New York Life section for the latest press releases, company history, and more.

You will also find access to our Education Center, a content-rich section that will answer many of your insurance and finance-related questions. Planning Tools gives you access to all of our calculators, worksheets, and other interactive tools. In the Business Solutions area you will find information about common issues facing small business owners.

Click on International to learn more about New York Life operations in other countries.

Or click on Becoming an Agent to find out if a career as a New York Life agent may be right for you.

One of the best ways to familiarize yourself with the site is to open a Personal Folder. Answer a few demographic questions about yourself, and we’ll get you started with links directly relevant to your needs and concerns. Whenever you re-visit the site through your Personal Folder (log in through the left nav bar), all the pages you access will be personalized and you’ll be able to save any page you like to your Folder. The Personal Folder is updated on a regular basis with fresh content, so you’ll always have a reason to come back. Why You Should Create a Personal Folder

The Home Page
We’ve designed the site so it’s easier for policyholders and new site visitors to find exactly what they’re looking for. You’ll still find our weekly-updated What’s New section front and center. If you’re a current fixed or variable life or annuity policyholder, you may want to visit the Virtual Service Center to perform a multitude of online functions. We’ve enhanced the functionality so that you can perform more self-service tasks, or contact a customer service representative or an agent. (Whether you’re a policy owner or not, you can check out many useful features of the Virtual Service Center by clicking on our demo .) If you own a variable product with New York Life, you can check the daily fund values from the drop-down menu on the right-hand side of the front page under the tab “Fund Values.” (Once you leave the front page, you can still access your fund values through the “Fund Values” link in the utility navigation bar).

We also invite you to browse through our educational content, which we have divided into Life Events, Financial Goals, and Special Interests. Choose an item from one of the drop down menus, and it will take you to some informative and original articles pertaining to your particular situation.

The Product Navigation Bar
Located at the top of each page, the product navigation bar allows you quick access to information about all the products New York Life offers—Life Insurance, Annuities, Investments, Long-Term Care Insurance, and Other Products. Here you’ll find "At-a-Glance" product overviews and fact sheets and, when applicable, other pertinent information, such as links to performance summaries and prospectuses for variable products. New York Life offers a full range of insurance and financial products—check them out.

The Utility Bar
In the Utility Bar you’ll always find a link back to the homepage, as well as a link to Customer Service for New York Life policyowners; you’ll also find access to our Fund Values, the most Frequently Asked Questions on the site, and a new and improved Contact Us page, where we've centralized all of our information request forms, free offers, employment contacts, and more.

The Bottom Navigation Bar
In the bottom navigation bar, you’ll find a persistent link to the Site Map, should you ever need to find something in a hurry, as well as our Agent and Office Locators, and a useful Glossary of important insurance and investment terms, our Privacy Policy (for what we do and don’t do with any information you provide to the site), Site Help and Disclosures, a link to Career Opportunities for information on salaried positions at the company, and a link to New York Life’s Companion Sites. New to the bottom navigation bar is the News Room, where you can find press releases and media contact information. Also new are the direct links to our main sections of the Education Center: Life Events, Financial Goals, and Special Interests.

Well, if you’ve read this far, you might feel you’re already invested enough time with New York Life. If so, we understand. Why not then bookmark this page, come back later to spend some serious time with us and find out why, in the virtual as well as the physical world, New York Life is “The Company You Keep.”
