Why he became a New York Life College Agent
During a conversation with my uncle about my plans after graduation, I mentioned my interest in the insurance business. It just so happens his good friend Dave is a New York Life agent here in New Orleans. Dave told me about the Company’s College Agent Intern Program, and remains my mentor to this day. Now that I’ve graduated, I’m thrilled to have begun my career as a full-time New York Life agent.

Christy Barilotti

Why she became a New York Life College Agent
I learned about New York Life’s College Agent Intern Program through the career services center at my college, Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. As a biology major, I was looking for a sales internship to gain experience for a pharmaceutical sales job. The College Agent Intern Program seemed to be a perfect fit.
Once I became a College Agent and started building my own business, my plans quickly changed. I was no longer interested in pharmaceutical sales. I wanted a career as a New York Life agent.

Why she became a New York Life College Agent
I always assumed I would eventually take over the management of my mom’s skin care salon as my career. I knew I wanted to run my own business, so it seemed only natural that I would follow in my mom’s footsteps. That was my plan — until I learned about New York Life’s College Agent Intern Program. At the time I was looking for an internship that would allow me to earn credits toward graduation and get my feet wet in the business world, and the Program seemed to fit the bill.

Why she became a New York Life College Agent
My mother started her career with New York Life as an agent and later moved into management, recruiting new agents into the business.
