If you have these qualifications:

  • Cumulative GPA 3.2 or higher
  • Bachelor's degree with preferred majors in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, Economics, or Finance
  • Analytically minded
  • Strong decision-making abilities
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Prefer passage one of one or more Society of Actuaries exams
  • Prefer knowledge of modeling packages, programming languages, and spreadsheet/database software

And you would like to be actively involved in many aspects of New York Life's operations, including:

  • Designing and pricing products
  • Evaluating New York Life's financial results
  • Performing actuarial research and statistical analyses

Then the Actuarial Program might be your career match.

  • Challenging rotating job assignments, with responsibilities such as: developing premiums and benefits for products; projecting product profitability; quantifying New York Life's risk exposure and proposing ways to minimize risk; assisting in determination of dividents scales
