Q:Can you give me a checklist of things I need to be well-prepared for life. I have no idea where to start even thinking about investing.
A: The best place to start is by filling out the LifeFolio checklist from the Mainstay Funds Web site.
This checklist will help you organize the key aspects of your life. Once completed, you will be able to see what you have and what you are missing whether it is documents or gaps in investing.
