BRYN MAWR, PA April 7, 2003 On June 18th, The American College will sponsor a Field Management Seminar (FMS) entitled, Recruiting in the 21st Century. The seminar will be held at over 70 locations across the country.
Every year, the faculty of The American College, in cooperation with field managers and executives from financial services companies, create this educational event. This is the third consecutive year the College has sponsored the FMS program. The seminar is open to financial services management professionals across the country and is a required course for individuals working toward their Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF) designation.
During this seminar, managers will be given the opportunity to address the entire spectrum of recruiting methods and techniques. Topics to be covered by the FMS include:
- The Philosophy of Recruiting
- The Goal Setting Process and the Capacity to Deliver
- Understanding Profiles - Recruits and Markets
- Recruiting Sources - Best Practices
- Recruiting Challenges or "What Prevents Me From Achieving My Recruiting Goals?"
- The Recruiting Plan
"Individuals attending the 2003 Field Management Seminar will come away better prepared to identify and deal with recruiting issues," said Glenn Boseman, DBA, CLU, CLF, and the Roger Hull-James S. Bingay Professor of Leadership at The American College. "Now more than ever, it's important to recruit individuals that will be a good fit for organizations and clients. Good recruiting provides a foundation for higher agent productivity and retention."
By attending the 2003 Field Management Seminar, participants will learn how to analyze their current recruiting practices, develop profiles of new recruits and share best practices in evaluating new recruiting sources.
