NEW YORK, November 3, 2003 — In recognition of the rapidly expanding Vietnamese community in the U.S., New York Life Insurance Company today launched a Vietnamese-language Web site (www.newyorklifeviet.com) to ensure that U.S.-based policyholders and the public in the Vietnamese community can easily access critical financial information in Vietnamese. This comprehensive online resource for insurance and financial information provides frequently updated news and details about New York Life's extensive array of products and services.
"The Vietnamese-language Web site is an extension of New York Life's commitment to the community and our growing number of Vietnamese-American policyholders," said Juan Roberto Job, corporate vice president in the Cultural Marketing Division for New York Life. "The new Web site is a valuable resource to support our agents and managers as they communicate New York Life's products, services, and career opportunities to the Vietnamese community."
Among the varied features of the new online offering, the Web site offers information in Vietnamese about: New York Life's history, mission and corporate values; the benefits of working with a New York Life agent; and the company's wide variety of insurance and financial products. There is also a recruiting section, providing information about career opportunities for Vietnamese-American professionals to join New York Life as agents and managers, as well as interactive online forms and e-mail addresses for submitting questions and requests.
For those who do not have Internet access, New York Life maintains a toll-free Vietnamese language hotline, 1-877-NYL-VIET, where policyholders and potential clients may direct inquiries.
New York Life is committed to serving the Vietnamese community, understanding that it is one of the fastest growing Asian segments in the U.S. having increased by 82.5 percent over the past decade (2000 U.S. Census).
