New York Life in the African American Community

New York Life plays a prominent role in the community by providing support, through grants from the New York Life Foundation, to organizations that give children the nurturing they need and the education they deserve. These groups, which traditionally have reached out to minorities, comprise Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Big Brothers, and Big Sisters. In fact, since 1998, New York Life has given more than $13 million in grants to such groups as the Junior Scholars program through the Schomberg Harlem Educational Activities Fund and the Congressional Black Caucus Internship Program for mentoring and educational enrichment programs.
