Company Joins Industry Campaign to Educate Consumers on Life Insurance

NEW YORK, N.Y., September 7, 2005 — New York Life Insurance Company is partnering with the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education (http://www.life-line.org) to sponsor Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM) this September, a comprehensive public awareness campaign aimed at promoting the importance of life insurance among America's families and businesses.

Sy Sternberg, chairman and chief executive officer of New York Life Insurance Company said, "For more than 160 years, our agents in communities across the nation have aided families in planning for their financial future.
