NEW YORK, N.Y., December 22, 2005 — New York Life Insurance Company announced that Brian C. Loutrel has been elected to vice president of its Corporate Compliance department, reporting to Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer Barbara McInerney.
Mr. Loutrel is the company's Anti–Money Laundering Compliance Officer, responsible for ensuring company compliance with anti-money laundering regulations. He is also responsible for administering the company's privacy policy to ensure company compliance with privacy regulations. Additionally, Mr. Loutrel oversees the company's insurance compliance program and is the company's oversight liaison with the International subsidiary's Chief Compliance Officer. Previously, he was responsible for developing and maintaining compliance standards with respect to agent recruiting and managing compliance field audits in addition to functioning as the departmental budget and personnel coordinator. Mr. Loutrel is a frequent speaker at industry meetings and an active member of the ACLI's Anti–Money Laundering and Privacy sub–groups.
Mr. Loutrel earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, in accounting from Barry University. He also holds Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designations, and Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
A native of Freeport, New York, Mr. Loutrel currently resides with his wife, Annette, and three sons in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania.
