NEW YORK, January 30, 2006 — New York Life Insurance Company announced today that John Curry has been named senior vice president of the South Central Agencies. Mr. Curry oversees the recruiting, training and developing of managing partners and partners. He is responsible for the sales production and overall supervision of the zone office and general offices within the South Central Zone.
Mr. Curry joined New York Life in 1995 as a sales manager. By 1996 he was ranked among the top ten managers in the Company. Mr. Curry was promoted to managing partner of the Connecticut Valley General Office in 1997. In 1998, he was transferred as managing partner and charged with merging the Metro New York General Office with the Vanderbilt General Office. After successfully completing the merger and additional achievements in Manhattan, he accepted a transfer to the Long Island General Office as a senior partner. Under his direction, the Long Island General Office won national recognition and numerous awards. In 2003, Mr. Curry became the managing partner of the Arizona General Office.
Mr. Curry currently resides in Alpharetta, Georgia with his wife, Holly and their four children.
