NEW YORK, January 30, 2006 — New York Life Insurance Company announced today that Robert McKinley has been named senior vice president of the Pacific Agencies. In this capacity Mr. McKinley oversees the recruiting, training and developing of managing partners and partners. He is responsible for the sales production and overall supervision of the zone office and general offices within the Pacific Zone.
Mr. McKinley joined New York Life in 1991 as an agent in Austin, Texas. In 1996, he had become one of the top 25 sales managers at New York Life. By 1997 he was appointed managing partner of the Des Moines, Iowa General Office. In 1998, Mr. McKinley was named managing partner of the Houston General Office.
For three consecutive years, 2001, 2002 and 2003, Mr. McKinley received the West Central Management Development Award and the West Central Zone Platinum Award. Mr. McKinley has served as Vice President and Director of New York Life agents Re–insurance Company (NYLARC). In 2003, he was appointed the Vice Chairman of New York Life Managing Partner Advisory Council (MPAC) and in 2004 he became the Chairman of the Council. MPAC is a prestigious group of ten New York Life Managing Partners and one Senior Partner from general offices around the country to present field management's viewpoints and issues to senior management at New York Life.
Mr. McKinley is a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in economics. He has been married to his wife Alane, for twenty–seven years and they have three children.
