Company's First Conference for All Agents and Managers Serving Six Cultural Markets
NEW YORK, N.Y., May 1, 2006 — New York Life Insurance Company announced today that it is holding its first cultural markets conference for all New York Life agents and managers serving the Asian–Indian, African American, Chinese, Hispanic, Korean and Vietnamese markets. While New York Life has held individual cultural market conferences, this is the first time that agents serving all six cultural markets will come together for a national conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Aladdin Hotel and Casino on May 2 — May 5, 2006. The theme is "Company of the Community."
"By providing large scale support, training and sharing best practices among agents who serve every community, our clients can feel confident that New York Life agents will help them achieve their financial goals no matter what language they speak or where they live," said Mark Pfaff, senior vice president in charge of the Agency Department, who will be giving the opening remarks at the conference.
"The conference theme 'Company of the Community' reflects New York Life's belief that our agents mirror the communities they serve. Additionally, the theme reflects the goal of the conference — not only is each cultural market a community, but together they are all one community — the New York Life family," said Jane Conti, vice president, Agency Department, New York Life.
Phil Hildebrand, executive vice president and co–head of U.S. Insurance Operations, will be giving the closing remarks at the conference. Conference events will include instructions in various languages, training workshops and breakout sessions on timely topics that are significant to agents and managers, and the communities they represent.
