New York Life’s Local Offices Holding Events That Focus on Family Safety in 40 Towns As a Way to
Thank The Community
NEW YORK, N.Y., APRIL 18, 2008 – New York Life Insurance Company announced that about
40 New York Life offices in communities across the country are hosting Community Appreciation Day events which
feature activities for families as a way for New York Life to say thank you to the members of the communities it
serves. The events will take place in April and May.
“New York Life’s over 10,000 agents live and work in the communities we serve. As each community has embraced
New York Life, we have become a more integral part of the community positively impacting families and businesses
in local towns across the country,” said Mark Pfaff, senior vice president in charge of the Agency Department.
“In fact, for over 163 years, New York Life has been helping provide financial security and peace of mind to
families in the United States. To celebrate this positive partnership, New York Life decided to hold a Community
Appreciation Day event as a way to say thank you to families and businesses.”
The local events will include demonstrations by community organizations and local vendors as well as important
demonstrations for parents about how to keep their children safe at home, at play and in the community. Most
importantly, all children who attend will receive a complimentary Identification Card, complete with photograph
and fingerprints.
“Hosting thank you events like these, which provides safety lessons to ensure a happier, safer environment for
children of the community, is just another way New York Life is serving the needs of families and other
policyholders,” added Mr. Pfaff.
