New York Life Recognizes Michael Brown for Superior Sales and Service

Veteran Agent Attributes Success to Personalized Approach to Meet Each Client's Unique Needs

NEW YORK, N.Y., October 5, 2009 — New York Life Insurance Company has named Michael Brown Council Vice President, an honor bestowed annually on the New York Life agent with the entire company's second highest sales and service achievements. As Council Vice President, Mr. Brown, an agent in the Greater Kansas City General Office, is a leader of the company's elite sales force comprised of 11,000 licensed New York Life agents.

Mr. Brown, a New York Life agent for 14 years, is a financial advisor who offers his clients comprehensive services including estate and retirement planning, business succession, group health and college savings plans. This year, he also received the Investment Annuity Product Leader award, which goes to the top annuity producer for the company based on production.

Mr. Brown grew up and currently resides in Hamilton, Missouri with his wife, Lori and three children, Addy, Alex and Micah. A former bank officer, Mr. Brown is on the board of the Cameron Regional Medical Center, Secretary for the Hamilton Rural Fire Protection District, Secretary/Treasurer for the Lloyd R. Wallace Charitable Foundation, and board member of the Cameron Regional YMCA. He is also a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church. He was an All-American wrestler in college at Northwest Missouri State University.
