What Are the Long-Term Care Insurance Health Qualification Standards? ID

People who are reasonably healthy and not afflicted with a terminal disease usually can obtain long-term care insurance coverage, but all companies have different underwriting guidelines. A minor health problem such as arthritis, for example, probably would not preclude you from being insured but it may put you in a higher rate class. Alzheimer's, for example, would preclude one from obtaining long-term care insurance, but if someone who already has a policy developed Alzheimer's disease, they would be able to collect benefits for the long-term care the Alzheimer's condition requires.
