Insurer Adds Mobile Account Access, Transaction and Service Functionality for Policy and Account Owners

NEW YORK, N.Y., October 28, 2010 - New York Life Insurance Company today announced that it has added new mobile enhancements of its customer self-service Web site, the Virtual Service Center (VSC), for policy owners and account owners. Now it is much easier for customers, in a secure and effective way, to view policy and investment information, transfer funds, change future payment and investment allocations, and more from their Web-enabled mobile devices.

"Bringing our many Virtual Service Center capabilities to a customer's hand-held device delivers service in the most convenient way and we are very pleased to do so," said Gary J. Miller, senior vice president and head of Individual Policy Services at New York Life.

Customers can get detailed information about their insurance policies, annuities, and variable products, including cash value, premium payment, and beneficiary information in a form that is automatically optimized for viewing on their mobile device by screen size and resolution. The VSC at now joins and to create the most comprehensive mobile offering in the industry.
