NEW YORK, N.Y., November 8, 2010 - New York Life Insurance Company, America's largest mutual life insurer, has named Mark Kline its Council President, an honor bestowed annually on the New York Life agent with the nation's highest sales and service achievements. Mr. Kline, based in New Orleans, Louisiana and Little Rock, Arkansas, is the top agent among the company's elite field force, a group comprised of 11,500 licensed New York Life agents in the U.S.
"We are pleased to honor Mark with the company's highest achievement," said Mark Pfaff, executive vice president, New York Life. "He has built an outstanding reputation for integrity and humanity in the communities he serves. He has the ability to meet prospects, assess their individual needs, and build lasting relationships. His superior client service has made him an industry leader and everyone in the New York Life family congratulates him on this award and his remarkable career."

He serves families and businesses in a number of states across the country, with primary focus in Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and California. He is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, having qualified for 27 years, and a Top of the Table member for the past 10 years. "I'm especially proud that my practice continues to thrive in New Orleans due to the resilience of the extraordinary people of New Orleans," Mr. Kline said.
Mr. Kline joined New York Life in 1982 upon graduation from Tulane University and credits his father, Stanley Kline, who is celebrating his 50th year as a New York Life agent in 2011, and the late Pres Coleman, a New York Life managing partner, for introducing him to this field and mentoring him in his early years. When commenting on his business approach, Mr. Kline said, "Being able to offer my clients the best solutions to meet their individual needs has always been my priority. I am truly honored and humbled to be recognized as Council President for the number one life insurance company in America."
Mr. Kline grew up in Vicksburg, Mississippi and now lives in Little Rock, Arkansas, with his wife Sally and their three children. The family moved to Little Rock after Hurricane Katrina destroyed their home and uprooted them from New Orleans.
