New York Life Scores Season-Long Sponsorship of the University of Connecticut Men's and Women's Basketball

Company Receives First-Ever Exclusive for Logo Placement on Huskies' Home Courts and Serves as Game Day Sponsor as Undefeated Women Huskies Strive to Break All-Time Consecutive Win Streak

NEW YORK, N.Y., December 9, 2010 - New York Life Insurance Company and UConn Sports Marketing, the multimedia rights partner for the University of Connecticut Athletics and an IMG College property, today announced a season-long sponsorship of the University's men's and women's basketball programs.

The sponsorship includes a first-ever on court logo presence for the entire season and sponsorship of the game on December 21 at the XL Center when the UConn women will host Florida State. If the women's team remains undefeated in the run-up to that game, a win on December 21 will give the Huskies the all-time record for consecutive wins by a college basketball team. This past weekend, the UConn women recorded their 86th win over Sacred Heart, heading closer to the coveted 36-year old record, currently held by the storied UCLA men's basketball team that notched 88 consecutive wins from 1971-74.

New York Life is the first and only sponsor to have its logo on the court during all basketball home games played at both the Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center. The company's ads will also appear on courtside and baseline signage boards. In addition, as a game day sponsor of the UConn Women's Basketball game on December 21, New York Life will have banners and a display presence at the main entrances to distribute information. During this game New York Life will also receive public address announcements, exposure on the video board and LED signage boards, and its logo on the front cover of the game day program. New York Life will also have television commercials airing during the broadcast which is tentatively scheduled to be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

The Huskies basketball season began in November and concludes in March with the Big East Championship Tournament. Many UConn men's and women's games are telecast nationally on ESPN and CBS.
