Nilgiri Flycatcher
Nilgiris or The Blue Mountains are among the highest in South India and are home to some restricted endemic species like Nilgiri Wood Pigeon, Nilgiri Laughing Thrush, White-bellied Shortwing and the brilliantly colored yet near threatened Nilgiri Flycatcher. Flycatchers are mainly small arboreal insectivores, many of which, as the name implies, take their prey on the wing.
