Selected to replace Kenneth Grubb upon his retirement.
NEW YORK, N.Y., January 31, 2005 — New York Life Insurance Company announced today that Janett C. Greenberg has been appointed senior vice president of New York Life's Long Term Care Department in Austin, Texas. She will replace Kenneth Grubb, who has led the operation since 1997, and will be retiring in February.

"Janett Greenberg's insurance background and experience serves New York Life well as we continue to forge new ground in the long term care marketplace."
Prior to joining New York Life, Ms. Greenberg served Principal of Greenberg Associates where she was a consultant for insurers, managed care organizations, health care providers and businesses serving the 50+ market. She was one of the founding partners of the Long Term Care Group LLC, a well-known company providing consulting and services to insurance companies and health care providers. She also has experience as a senior executive within large corporations including Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, UnitedHealthcare, PacifiCare Health Systems, and as a consultant for Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P.
Ms. Greenberg received a Master of Science degree in Public Health Administration from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University. She is an Executive Committee Member of the Southern California Caregiving Coalition, and a member of the Board of Directors at Gerinet Physicians Services. Ms. Greenberg plans to relocate to the Austin, Texas area.
Mr. Grubb joined New York Life in January 1997 from Washington National Insurance Company where he served as president of the education division. Prior to that he worked for Humana, Inc., Capital Holding Corporation and Equitable General. He first entered the insurance field as a systems analyst for Allstate in 1970. Mr. Grubb earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and served in the United States Air Force.
