AUSTIN, TX, December 12, 2005 — New York Life Insurance Company announced that Dallas J. Richins has been elected Vice President of New York Life's Long Term Care Department in Austin, Texas.
Mr. Richins is responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing unit of the company's long-term care division, managing sales initiatives for agents and public awareness for the need for long-term care. Previously, Mr. Richins worked in life and annuity sales and distribution at New York Life — as an agent, in agency management and development, and in driving product sales as a life wholesaler.
"Dallas brings broad experience in sales and his performance track record makes him a strong addition to our team and an important asset in achieving our future sales goals," said Janett C. Greenberg, Senior Vice President in charge of New York Life's Long Term Care Division.
Prior to his return to New York Life, Dallas was Senior Vice President, independent distribution, for Beneficial Life, a Utah-based insurer. In that capacity he was responsible for recruiting and sales management to improve individual agent production, and expanded Beneficial's national distribution system to increase sales.
Mr. Richins holds CLU, CFP, CFC, and Securities License Series 6 & 63 designations. He resides in Austin, Texas with his wife, Sherie, and their six children.
