Richard H. Eppink, Jr., has been promoted to vice president in the Special Markets Department, reporting to First Vice President Victoria Buhrow. Mr. Eppink is now responsible for developing and executing strategic direct marketing plans for the AARP Lifetime Income Program, New York Life’s Tampa-based operation which markets and administers income annuity products to AARP members. Mr. Eppink joined New York Life in 1999 as an assistant vice president of marketing with the AARP Life Insurance Program, and was promoted to corporate vice president in 2002. Prior to joining New York Life, Mr. Eppink held direct marketing positions with Liberty Life, Disney, and Bose.
Mr. Eppink received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Framingham State College in Framingham, Mass. He currently resides in Palm Harbor, Fla., with his wife, Michelle, and two sons.
Michael J. Francescone has been promoted to vice president and actuary in the Long-Term Care Division, reporting to First Vice President Dennis O’Brien. Mr. Francescone is now responsible for the pricing and development of long-term care insurance products, as well as having responsibility for the division’s financial planning and all actuarial activities related to compliance and financial reporting. Mr. Francescone joined New York Life in 2002 from UnumProvident, where he spent six years in that company’s long-term care division.
Mr. Francescone received a Bachelor of Science degree from Manhattan College and holds a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation. He currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife, Linda.
