The U.S. Life Insurance and Agency business manufactures a full array of life insurance products, including:

The majority of all individual life insurance products are sold by New York Life’s career agents. In 2010, the Company was the number one-seller of new individual life insurance in the United States.²

The company also provides Corporate Life Insurance (COLI), and Bank-Owned Life Insurance (BOLI).

Retirement Income Security

The Retirement Income Security (RIS) business is dedicated to providing solutions to customers as they progress through the different phases of retirement planning. RIS develops and markets deferred variable annuities and fixed annuities as well as Guaranteed Lifetime Income products (fixed immediate annuities) and mutual funds. In 2010, New York Life ranked as the number-one provider of Guaranteed Lifetime Income Annuities in the United States.³

New York Life Investments

New York Life’s subsidiary, New York Life Investments, is one of the largest asset management firms in the United States. Managing more than $283billion in assets under management,⁴ it offers an array of products and services for both retail and institutional investors.

New York Life Enterprises

New York Life Enterprises manages an array of ancillary businesses that provide products and services to specialty and international markets, including the Company’s Group Membership Association Division, AARP Life Insurance and AARP Lifetime Income programs, and international offices: Seguros Monterrey New York Life (Mexico), Max New York Life (India), and New York Life Insurance Taiwan Corporation (Taiwan).
