Erica Takach, CLF, LUTCF.

Erica Takach

Senior Partner, Chicago North Shore office.

Erica Takach began her career with New York Life as an Agent in December 2006. At the time of her interview, she knew that a place in management was for her. Within a few years, she quickly advanced into a managerial role, and the experience has been thrilling to her.

Because New York Life is a performance-based company, opportunities for advancement are completely up to you. “The company gave me the opportunity to grow at my own pace. Here, if you excel, you advance,” says Erica.

Today, Erica is a Senior Partner who recruits and develops Agents and Managers. She has received notable company recognitions for her sales and recruiting excellence. With the company’s support, she’s learning how to lead a successful team and maybe someday, run her own office.

Comprehensive training and support enhance Agents’ success.

New York Life is a company known for its top-notch training and development program. When Erica was a rookie Agent, she was challenged with finding prospects in the local Chicago market. “The prospecting tools and training program helped me to overcome that obstacle,” says Erica. Today, Erica recruits and develops Agents and Managers, with the help of comprehensive training and support available at New York Life.

The ability to grow professionally is important to Erica. Given her interest in higher education, she earned her CLF and LUTCF designations. And, she’s become an active member of her local community. Over the years, she’s met many people from the Chicago Police Department—resulting in long-term relationships that remain important to her today. “I respect these individuals so much for protecting our city,” says Erica. In addition, she dedicates time to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, Central States SER, and the Israel Idonije Foundation. “I want to give back to my community in any way possible, and through New York Life, I can make that happen,” says Erica.

And despite Erica’s commitment to her career and colleagues, she works hard at maintaining a healthy work-life balance making time for running and working out.
