The Chronic Care Rider

While a whole life insurance policy from New York Life is filled with valuable benefits, there are several ways to customize your policy if you want to give yourself even more protection. For example: You may want to add a Chronic Care rider which gives you the flexibility to use some of your policy’s death benefit to help pay for care in case of a prolonged injury, illness, or impairment, whether it’s a permanent or temporary condition

You can use the benefit any way you like: to pay for medical care, rehabilitation, or to replace lost income. Since it’s not a reimbursement program, there’s no need to collect and submit receipts, and all benefit payments will be sent directly to you. Plus, in most cases, the money you receive is tax-free.

If you’re in the market for whole life insurance, adding a Chronic Care Rider can make a whole lot of sense.

And, if you already own a New York Life Whole Life Policy, you may be eligible to add this valuable protection to your coverage—but for a limited time only.
