New York Life receives top honors for commitment to training and development.

NEW YORK, February 2017—New York Life was once again named to Training magazine’s Top 125 and Chief Learning Officer magazine’s LearningElite for excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs.

This is the sixth consecutive year that New York Life was named to Training magazine’s Top 125.  The list is based on benchmarking statistics including total training budget; percentage of payroll; number of training hours per employee program; goals, evaluation, measurement and workplace surveys; hours of training per employee annually; and detailed formal programs.

The company was also recognized once again by Chief Learning Officer magazine’s LearningElite, which is a robust, peer-reviewed ranking and benchmarking program that acknowledges organizations employing exemplary workforce development strategies and delivering significant business results.  New York Life was recognized for its combined efforts across all areas of Corporate and Agency training and development, and for all phases of this work, in all learning categories.

In addition, the company’s Management Development Initiative (MDI) received the Leadership Excellence Award from HR.com in the Best Use of Mobile Technology space.  MDI recognizes and creates methods for participants to learn through different activities, including interactive webinars, networking, and application exercises.  To date, over 200 managers/leaders have participated in this program.

HR.com also recognized the company with another Leadership Excellence Award in the Best Experienced/Senior Leaders Program category for New York Life’s Foundations of Executive Leadership program, which provides executive officers with an intense leadership development experience.
