Since 1979, the New York Life Foundation has focused its support on times of transition for young people–following the loss of a loved one and during the shift from middle to high school, as well as engaging the workforce to give back in the communities where they live and work. In addition, the Foundation has convened experts to share their perspectives, especially in light of the coronavirus, on how to support youth, families, and community.  In this episode of the New York Life Foundation series called ‘Ask the Expert,’ Julie Kaplow, PhD, ABPP, a licensed clinical psychologist, board certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, and Maria Collins, vice president, the New York Life Foundation, discuss common psychological reactions among adults during the pandemic and how to effectively cope with them.
