This marks New York Life's fourth year as one of the main sponsors of the Disability Pride NYC Parade. For the last five years, the annual parade in Manhattan has been a celebration of people with disabilities, both visible and invisible. New York Life’s participants in the parade were organized by our ENABLE Employee Resource Group, whose mission is to raise the level of disability-focused awareness at New York Life among all employees. The parade route stretched from Fifth Avenue near our Home Office in Madison Square Park down Broadway to Union Square where it culminated with a celebration.
“The Disability Pride Parade is there to redefine the public’s perception of what it means to have a disability, It’s a day to celebrate our differences and to be proud of who you are. We want to show that New York Life stands firmly behind all this.”
- Marc Weissberg, member of the ENABLE leadership team.
