The New York Life “Toy House of Marvelous Milestones” float, which debuted in 2019, will once again be featured in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. As New York Life marks its first 175 years in 2020, the 94th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been reimagined into a television-only special presentation this year.

Our float will again feature costumed actors dressed as “paper dolls” representing key life moments—birth, graduation, marriage, and retirement—as a powerful display of what it means to “Be Good at Life.” The “Toy House of Marvelous Milestones” tells the timeless story of bringing people together, working hand-in-hand to build better futures for loved ones, and having a positive impact on communities for generations to come.

Keep an eye out for three updates made to the float this year in acknowledgement of New York Life’s anniversary year. They include the addition of the “175” address marker above the toy house’s front door, a change on the license plate on the toy car to read: HAPPY 175TH, and a swap of the Thanksgiving celebration for a birthday theme.

Our float is also one of just a handful of floats showcased in this year’s Macy’s Parade Commemorative Snow Globe.

“New York Life has had the strength and resilience to successfully navigate the unexpected for 175 years. Experience has given us the humility to know that we can’t predict the future, but we can prepare for it,” explained Kevin Heine, Head of Corporate Communications at New York Life. “We are tremendously thankful for the generations of families and businesses who place their trust in us as part of building better futures for themselves and those they love. There is no better way to celebrate our thanks and rich history than by again participating in the historic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.”

All are encouraged to tune into the Parade which will air on NBC on Thanksgiving morning from 9 a.m. – Noon in all time zones. The performers slated to appear on the various floats in this year’s Parade were recently announced. And in case you missed it last year, watch this brief video to see how the magic at the Macy’s Studio brought the “Toy House of Marvelous Milestones” to life.
