Mr. Talgo is Senior Managing Director in charge of New York Life Real Estate Investors. Prior to his current position, Mr. Talgo was co-head of commercial mortgage production and managed the Structured Investments area within Real Estate Investors. Mr. Talgo joined the firm in 1985. He is a member of Commercial Real Estate Finance Council, The Real Estate Board of New York, Urban Land Institute and Pension Real Estate Association. Mr. Talgo has a BA from Lake Forest College and an MS in Real Estate from New York University.
Mr. McEldowney is Managing Director and co-head of the Real Estate Equity team. He joined the firm in 2003. Prior to joining Real Estate Investors, he held positions at Stonegate Partners, Lend Lease Real Estate Investments and its predecessor companies ERE Yarmouth and Equitable Real Estate and JMB Property Management. Mr. McEldowney has a BS in Real Estate/Finance from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association.
Mr. O’Hanlon is Managing Director and co-head of the Real Estate Equity team. Prior to joining Real Estate Investors, Mr. O’Hanlon served as Vice President, Investments at PMRealty Advisors. Mr. O’Hanlon has a BA in Economics from California State University, Sacramento. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, National Multi Housing Council and International Council of Shopping Centers.
Mr. McGinnis is Managing Director and co-head of commercial mortgage production. He oversees the National Account / Co-Lending platforms, Closing, Accounting and Loan Administration. Mr. McGinnis joined the firm in 1988. Mr. McGinnis has a BBA in Accounting & Finance from St. Bonaventure University, an MBA in Finance from Pace University. He holds a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation.
Mr. Lippmann is the Head of Structured Debt at New York Life Real Estate Investors and Portfolio Manager of the Madison Square Structured Debt Fund. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, he worked in the real estate groups at FTI Consulting and Eurohypo AG. He began his career in the Real Estate and Lodging Investment Banking group at JPMorgan Chase. Mr. Lippmann has a BA from the School of Public Affairs at American University and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he also taught as an adjunct assistant professor in the Master of Science program at the Schack Institute of Real Estate for over a decade.
Mr. Becher is co-head of commercial loan production and serves as portfolio manager for the general account commercial mortgage portfolio. Prior to this role, he oversaw commercial mortgage production for the Northeast. He joined the firm in 2007 and has 26 years of commercial real estate experience. He held positions at the Advance Realty Group, Colliers and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Becher has a BS degree in Real Estate from Pennsylvania State University and a MS in Real Estate from New York University.
Mr. Boyd is co-head of commercial loan production and heads the Southeastern Region. He joined the firm in 1998. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Boyd was a Senior Investment Analyst with MetLife Real Estate Investments in Atlanta and Boston. Prior to that, Mr. Boyd served in Atlanta as an AVP in the Commercial Real Estate Department at NationsBank. Mr. Boyd has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Auburn University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
Business Development and Client Service
Mr. Behar serves as the head of Business Development, leading the product development and capital formation efforts. He joined the firm in 2015 and has more than 17 years of institutional real estate experience having held positions at Hunt Companies, The Tuckerman Group/State Street Global Advisors, and iStar Financial. During his tenure at these firms, he worked on both the equity and debt sides of the business and was involved in a variety of roles including capital raising/marketing, acquisitions, portfolio management, and asset management. Mr. Behar has a BA in Economics and English from Colgate University and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Mr. Seaman is the Head of Asset Management nationally for New York Life Real Estate Investors. He joined the real estate team in 1998 and has 26 years of experience in real estate investment and property management. Prior to joining the company, he was with Vestar Development in Arizona. Brian holds B.S. degrees in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Arizona.
Mr. Davitt joined the real estate team in 1998 and serves as Senior Director, Asset Management. He has over 30 years of experience in real estate with current responsibilities in asset management for direct equity investments, corporate owned/leased facilities and the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (“LIHTC”) initiatives for the enterprise. Prior to joining New York Life Real Estate Investors, Mr. Davitt was part of the team that was charged with the repositioning of the former Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company’s real estate portfolio. Before his involvement with Mutual Benefit Life, he was employed in Merrill Lynch & Company’s securitized real estate group. Mr. Davitt is a graduate of Rutgers University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Ms. Bai manages the Mortgage Loan Closing group. She began her career with the Company in 1995 and has various positions in Mortgage Loan Administration and Mortgage Loan Closing. Prior to that Ms Bai held positions at various real estate firms. Ms. Bai holds a BA from Pace University, New York.
Mortgage Loan Administration
Ms. Larkin as head of Mortgage Loan Administration oversees the asset management of the mortgage portfolio. She began her career with the Company in 1991 and has held various roles in Accounting and Mortgage Loan Administration. Ms. Larkin has broad experience with system conversions, loan management systems and reporting. Ms. Larkin holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Scranton. She is a Chartered Realty Investor Associate and is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Life Company Servicers Executive Roundtable.
Scott Ingham (Eastern Region)
Mr. Ingham oversees commercial mortgage production for the Northeast Region. He joined the firm’s commercial mortgage group in 2006 and was an acquisition officer in New York Life’s equity group from 2011-2018. Prior to joining New York Life, he worked for ING Investment Management (Voya Investment Management) in Atlanta. Mr. Ingham has a BS in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Georgia and an MS in Real Estate from New York University.
Leslie Cassingham (Southwest Region)
Mrs. Cassingham oversees commercial mortgage production for the Southwest Region. She joined the firm in 1998. Prior to that, Mrs. Cassingham held positions at Lincoln Financial Group and Principal Real Estate Investors. Mrs. Cassingham has a BBA in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and has completed courses at the Appraisal Institute and the Institute of Real Estate Management.
John Howard (Midwest Region)
Mr. Howard oversees commercial mortgage production for the Midwest Region. He joined the firm in 1984. Prior to his current position, he originated and underwrote commercial mortgage loans within the Southeast region. Mr. Howard has a BS in Finance from Boston College and an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University.
Kirk Kniss (Western Region)
Mr. Kniss oversees commercial mortgage production for the Western Region. He joined the firm in 1996. Prior to that, Mr. Kniss held positions at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company and Wells Fargo Bank. Mr. Kniss has an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
Mr. Vollmer is the Chief Appraiser and oversees Architectural and Engineering Services for New York Life Real Estate Investors. Prior to joining Real Estate Investors, Mr. Vollmer held positions at AIG Global Real Estate, Jones Lang LaSalle and JPMorgan Chase. Mr. Vollmer has a BA in History from Haverford College and an MBA in Finance from New York University. He is a Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), The Counselors of Real Estate (CRE), and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
Internal Compliance and Operations
Ms. Cardno leads the Internal Compliance and Operations group. She joined the Company in 1989 as a paralegal in the Office of General Counsel's Real Estate division. In 1992 she transferred to Real Estate Investors. Ms. Cardno has a BA degree in Political Science from Hofstra University, New York.
