In 2025, we’re continuing to invest in core areas to remove benefits administration work from our clients’ plates and make benefits easier for their employees. This starts with our “always on” listening approach, helping us identify changing market needs and, most importantly, identify opportunities to better serve those who rely on us. We then translate that feedback into action, taking measurable steps to advance our goals around providing consistent service excellence.
Here are some highlights of what we’ve accomplished over the past few months.
Achieved great success so far with our supplemental health solutions
Since launching in early 2025, our voluntary benefits suite has delivered impressive results, including:1
- 94% satisfaction with onboarding
- More than 6,700 claims processed
- Over 1,230 proactive and multi-policy claims processed
- 85% of claims paid in under 5 days
- 100% of health screening benefit claims paid in under 2 days
We’re approved to administer Minnesota Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML)
We were the first carrier to receive state approval to provide insured Minnesota’s PFML equivalent plans, with plan administration effective January 1, 2026—underscoring our leadership and commitment to supporting working families.
We’ve enhanced Life analytics reporting capabilities
Enhancements to our life plan data include:
- Peer benchmarking.2
- Actionable insights.
These reports are delivered by your account team as part of a consultative, strategic partnership—helping clients gain clarity, uncover opportunities, and make confident, informed decisions.
We launched a new Evidence of Insurability (EOI) API connection with bswift®
This integration enhances the employee enrollment experience while simplifying administration for employers—making benefits enrollment smoother, faster, and more efficient for everyone involved.3
We’ve made several enhancements to our digital service experience
Updates to our myNYLGBS.com portal include:
New “Feedback” Button
- In support of evolving how we gather feedback from our clients and customers, we rolled out a brand-new “Feedback” button on both the employee and employer myNYLGBS portal, allowing us to collect input from users during multiple points in their digital experience.
Expanded Text Options
- We’ve added new text messages for those employees who opt in to receiving texts, including real-time updates on:
- Estimated return to work date
- Actual return to work data
- Delivery date confirmation
Redesigned EOI Experience
- We completed a refresh of our Evidence of Insurability (EOI) communications to add clear instructions, helpful visual indicators, guidance throughout the experience, and additional FAQs.
We launched a new partnership with Pasito to help with benefits education
We’re excited to introduce Pasito®, a powerful benefits decision support tool and the newest addition to our enrollment technology ecosystem. As a leader in HR tech, Pasito simplifies the benefits experience by bringing all your company’s core offerings—medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, disability, and voluntary—into one intuitive digital platform.4
