Accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance solutions
Our voluntary benefits portfolio is designed to give employees valuable supplemental health insurance that offers more coverage and is easy to use.
Designed for easy use
We offer benefits designed to be used, not forgotten. To minimize denials and speed up claim payments, our plans align with medical coverage provisions and definitions. And online claims can be filed in minutes for even greater ease.
Designed to fit
Instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach, we've created a customizable offering that allows you to choose the benefits and features that work best for you and your employees. Select from various funding options, benefit amounts, pre-existing condition waivers, and more. And our voluntary benefits can be configured on essentially any enrollment platform or benefit administration system.
Designed to cover more
We've enhanced our voluntary offering with some extras. Coverage for mental health treatment, doctor's visits, including telemedicine, infectious diseases like COVID-19, and pet boarding services are just a few examples of how we offer employees more.
As organizations work to reduce their spending, many have moved to health plans that require greater
cost-sharing with employees. Supplemental health products can help mitigate the rising costs of out-of-pocket medical expenses to financially protect employees and fill the gaps in medical coverage.
Of U.S. adults say they have a very high level of health insurance knowledge.1
Of adults say they skipped or postponed needed health care in the past year because of cost.2
Of adults say they’d rely on credit cards or other borrowing to cover a $500 unexpected medical bill.2
Our accident insurance, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance plans offer employees valuable coverage. Additionally, all our voluntary plans can include health screening benefits3 with more than forty covered screenings, such as colonoscopies, mental health assessments, routine hearing exams, biometric screenings, and more.
Accident insurance
Accident insurance pays a lump-sum benefit for specific injuries and events resulting from a covered accident. Enhanced benefits include organized sports, PTSD, and chiropractic visits. Proactive claims payments are made for most common accidents.
Critical illness/specified disease insurance
Critical illness/specified disease insurance pays a lump-sum benefit for the diagnosis of a covered disease or condition, including benefits related to mental health, infectious diseases like COVID-19, progressive diseases, childhood diseases (including autism), and other conditions.
Hospital indemnity insurance
Our plan pays a daily benefit for a covered stay in a hospital, intensive care unit, or rehabilitation facility. HSA-compatible plan designs are available as well as standalone non-HSA benefits, like outpatient IV and mental health services.
