Locate a long-lost policy. To gain longed-for peace of mind.

Working through the unexpected.

When a policy owner’s information is out of date at the time of their death, it can be difficult for us to locate their beneficiaries. But no matter what, we’re committed to reuniting lost policies with their rightful beneficiaries.

Fill out the form below to search for a lost policy. Or, you can reach a service representative at 1-866-695-0796. When you call, please have the following information available:

  • Deceased policy owner’s name
  • Last known address
  • Date of birth
  • Date of death
  • Social Security Number (helpful but not required)

To submit a request for information about a lost policy, you must be the owner, executor or administrator of the deceased person’s estate, or a member of the immediate family.

We’ll contact you directly within 30 days if we identify a policy, contract, or certificate on which the deceased was the insured or owner. We’ll also provide any additional paperwork that may be required to process any outstanding benefits.

Please note that this search includes insurance issued through AARP, but does not include life insurance issued through group or sponsored life insurance policies, such as those issued through an employer, labor union, educational institution, or alumni, military, or professional association insurance plans.
