Eagle Strategies Prosper PortfoliosTM Marries a Seamless Digital Experience with Irreplaceable Human Guidance, at an Accessible Price Point

NEW YORK, October 27, 2023 – New York Life, America’s largest1 mutual life insurer, today announced the launch of Eagle Strategies Prosper PortfoliosTM. Available through New York Life’s registered investment advisor, Eagle Strategies,2 this new hybrid digital investment tool is designed to reduce barriers to accessing professional guidance and enhance advisors’ ability to meet middle-market clients’ needs.

According to New York Life data, 78% of all adults — regardless of net worth — say their ability to save for retirement has been negatively impacted, with current inflation (47%), unexpected expenses (36%), and health issues (26%) being the top three reasons why. Among those who say current inflation has impacted their retirement savings, over half have changed their budget (54%), followed by changing their savings strategy/saving less (25%) as the top actions taken to mitigate impacts.

“In an environment where changing economic conditions are pulling focus from long-term saving and investing goals for a wide range of investors, our mission to support middle-market consumers is more urgent than ever,” said Dylan Huang, Senior Vice President and Head of Product Solutions, New York Life. “We traditionally see high-touch financial guidance reserved for more affluent investors, so we built Eagle Strategies Prosper PortfoliosTM to reduce barriers to accessing professional guidance and support advisors’ commitment to helping clients protect what they love and prosper in the future.”

Eagle Strategies Prosper PortfoliosTM is the first fee-based digital investment solution at New York Life and its intuitive, modern platform ensures clients have access to irreplaceable human advice and guidance with the digital experience they expect. Advisors can guide clients to choose among diversified ETF portfolios that are automatically rebalanced and include tax loss harvesting.

Additional Eagle Strategies Prosper PortfoliosTM features include:

  • Accessibility – $5,000 minimum account size, reducing barriers to access for those with growing investible assets
  • Cost-Effective Pricing – 80 basis point fixed fee, with no minimums
  • Simple Fund Offerings – proven, recognizable fund offerings with portfolios designed by the Multi-Asset Solutions team at New York Life Investment Management
  • Seamless Digital Experience – Eagle Strategies Prosper PortfoliosTM offers a simple, seamless digital experience designed to demystify investing for clients

“Investment and protection solutions are equally critical components of a holistic financial strategy for all investors, regardless of net worth,” said Huang. “The launch of Eagle Strategies Prosper PortfoliosTM is one of many ways we are investing in the success of our advisors, enabling them to build long-term relationships by offering solutions that evolve alongside clients’ needs.”
