New York Life’s Amanda Gallagher named to Profiles in Leadership Journal’s Women Worth Watching in STEAM list.

Gallagher was selected for her leadership and vision when it comes to moving women forward in the STEAM fields.

Amanda Gallagher, global head of Data and Technology Solutions at New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM), was honored by Profiles in Leadership Journal (PLJ) as one of its Women Worth Watching in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics). This recognition celebrates leaders who embody both talent and leadership in the STEAM fields. Honorees are nominated for being visionary, confident and forward-thinking leaders who drive innovation and create value within their organizations and industries.

When asked what can be done to move women forward in STEAM fields, Gallagher said, “Curiosity and potential to learn are more important over time than knowing one specific coding language or subject area, and we can more effectively encourage creative approaches to technical problem-solving when we bring together individuals with a range of perspectives around the table.”
