New York Life has been inducted into the Year Up Opportunity Hall of Fame, recognizing our commitment to helping close the “opportunity divide” and create meaningful career pathways for young adults from diverse backgrounds.

Year Up United — a national nonprofit dedicated to connecting talented young adults with career opportunities — honors organizations that have shown exceptional and sustained partnership in advancing its mission. This year’s Hall of Fame class celebrates those whose “leadership, partnership and belief in young adults” have helped drive Year Up’s 25 years of impact.

298 interns and 143 full-time hires

New York Life’s partnership with Year Up United goes beyond traditional philanthropy — it’s a hands-on effort that helps open doors for talented young adults while meeting real business needs. The partnership helps create pathways into meaningful careers across fields like cybersecurity and information technology. Since joining forces with the organization in 2011, New York Life has hosted more than 298 Year Up interns and hired more than 143 graduates into full-time roles, helping to diversify and strengthen our workforce while creating lasting opportunity for the others.

Beyond hiring, New York Life employees actively mentor new interns, fostering an inclusive, supportive culture that helps ensure long-term success for every participant.

“New York Life is truly honored to be recognized as a Hall of Fame partner by Year Up United,” said Keith Byam, who manages our Early Career Programming and our Internal Mobility efforts. “For more than a decade, we’ve been proud to support their mission to create opportunity and unlock potential for young adults. This recognition is a reflection of our shared commitment to helping people build confident futures and a reminder of the impact that’s possible when purpose and partnership come together.”

New York Life’s induction places it among a select group of global companies recognized for redefining corporate social responsibility as a source of shared value — where doing good for communities also drives business success.
