1. Generative AI explained.

Everyone was talking about “generative AI” in 2023. It’s been dominating the news since November 30, 2022, when tech company OpenAI released ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot, to the public. That was soon followed by Google announcing its chatbot, Bard. Our quick explainer details what generative AI is and why it’s so important.

You can’t talk about the U.S. economy of 2023 without talking about inflation, which reached its highest level in 40 years. 3. New graphic novel about a boy navigating grief.

The New York Life Foundation released Lost in the Middlea 200-page graphic novel that follows Kai and his friends as they navigate grief and other challenges during middle school. Lost in the Middle is the fourth book – and first graphic novel – in the Kai’s Journey original series, which we launched in 2020 to help children and families process their grief.

New York Life highlights the progress and impacts of the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) efforts over the last year with the release of its 2022 DE&I Report. The Report underscores that the company’s programming is designed to have lasting positive impacts through well-defined focus areas involving our employees, agents, and the communities we serve.
