Employees learn about AI and more at our inaugural Data Science Expo.

New York Life | November 12, 2019

More than 400 employees recently attended New York Life’s first Data Science Expo at our Home Office. Hosted by Retail Life’s Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CDSAi), the event showcased advancements New York Life is making in data science, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Attendees were able to meet with employees from across the company who have deep expertise in data and data science methods, participate in hands-on activities, and learn how data is being used at New York Life. As data touches almost all employees in one way or another, the expo’s intent was to provide attendees with an inside view into the many ways we’re using data science and AI at the company to make our business more efficient.

“The overall mission of the Data Science Expo was to showcase the impact that data science solutions are making on functions across the enterprise as well as to provide a platform for us to connect and learn from each other,” says Rita Fuller, head of data science development in CDSAi. “The success of the expo demonstrates the vast interest in data science and AI, as well as the strong commitment from our senior leadership for using data science methods for data-driven decision making.”
