The insights of New York Life Vice President and Chief Technology Security Officer Reshma Budhwani were recently highlighted by Girls Who Code (GWC), an international nonprofit organization and a leader in the movement to inspire, educate, and equip young women with the computing skills needed to pursue 21st century opportunities.

Reshma offered the below inspirational quote to the GWC community which was shared with the organization’s over 330,000 Twitter followers and nearly 85,000 LinkedIn connections:

“The ability to code delivers the power to express your creativity, to make an impact, and to change the world through the power of technology. We, as women, need to believe in ourselves and have the courage to follow our passions. Remember, you are not alone. There is an entire community of women committed to providing you with inspiration, support, and opportunities.”

Since launching in 2012, Girls Who Code has reached 500 million people through its work and 450,000 girls through its programming. Half of the young women served by GWC come from historically underrepresented groups, including girls who are Black, Latinx, or from low-income backgrounds.

Aligned by a commitment to closing the gender gap in technology, New York Life is a proud GWC sponsor.
