Everyday AI: New York Life’s Noah Robbins incorporates AI solutions into his work

I'm Noah Robbins, and this is my everyday AI story.

I work in corporate compliance, and I specifically do agent reviews to ensure that they're in line with regulations and company best practices in every review that we do. We have to create a summary of that agent's business. It was a very manual process, and part of that is that we have all of the information on several different systems.

Ideally, we'd like to review every agent. However, time is a restraint with generative AI. I built a custom GPT. It's called Agent Snapshot Compliance summary.

And the reason we chose snapshot was, if you think of it like a camera, when you take that picture, it takes a snapshot of a certain time in history. And for us, it's taking a snapshot of that agent's background summary. It gives us their licensing, their registrations, the types of sales mix that they work in. So if you're figuring 30 minutes, a review on 40 reviews and that's a lot of time.

So typically we'd have about five days to complete all of them. With the GPT, we have since cut that timeframe down to three days. So overall, this tool has been good for our team. It's been used as a proof of concept to allow us to take on bigger AI initiatives. It's imperative that companies, especially in New York life, is allowing us to use these tools.

I think this day and age, if we're not using them, we're going to fall quickly behind. And the more we get used to as a company, I think it's just going to propel us to take on more initiative and just do more of what we do.
