INNOVATION
New York Life | January 16, 2025
At an industry gathering of data and AI executives, Printz outlined how New York Life is embedding secure AI into daily work and preparing for what comes next.
At CDAO Fall 2025, a conference for senior data and AI leaders, Marina Printz, a leader in New York Life’s AI efforts, shared how New York Life is redefining enterprise analytics with “AI-powered intelligence.” Her presentation centered on empowering teams, elevating business outcomes and reinventing workflows — moving from isolated pilots to capabilities that scale across functions.
Printz emphasized New York Life’s efforts to democratize access to secure, enterprise AI tools and embed them directly into daily work, ranging from AI assistants to productivity copilots and developer aids. Paired with employee-built custom assistants, hands-on workshops, AI literacy programs and an AI Champions network, she conveyed to attendees how New York Life’s AI adoption initiatives are designed to accelerate real productivity gains across the business and bring more than 12,000 employees and over 16,000 agents and advisors along the journey.
She also highlighted New York Life’s responsible-by-design approach: secure AI built on a trusted data foundation, approved large language models and governance practices emphasizing human-in-the-loop review and monitoring. This straightforward approach – defining, measuring and adopting what works – helps teams stay focused on impact.
Looking ahead, Printz noted that New York Life is laying the groundwork for agentic workflows, AI systems designed to collaborate with employees to plan, act and learn, through foundational initiatives and proof of concepts. As Printz put it: “We’re moving from ‘finding answers’ to ‘recommending actions.’”
